Biography
Gabrielle (Gay) Bill (née Thunder) was born in Fontainbleu, France. She graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design, University of the Creative Arts with a BA Hons in Fine Art in 2000 after successfully completing a National Diploma in Art and Design in Cambridge. Since then she has exhibited yearly and extensively in Europe. Before leaving England for nearly 10 years, she taught portraiture in mixed media alongside her studio work and has on occasion taught privately.
Her work can be found in collections in Lebanon, Canada, USA, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, as well as in the UK.
In the last year, Gabrielle has travelled extensively, gathering inspiration for various paintings that she has been working on during the Covid 19 Lock-down. In particular, she has had fun playing with landscapes and portraiture.
